We offer you full and partial packing & unpacking services.
If you decide on a full packing service, we will bring packing materials and pack everything for you. In case of partial packing, you pack as much as you want and we do the rest. We always blanket-wrap your furniture to prevent damage during transit.
If you need full unpacking, we will unpack all boxes, place contents in the proper location, remove blankets from furniture, and position furniture where requested. Partial unpacking includes uncovering furniture wrapped with blankets, positioning every box in the correct room, and unpacking requested boxes. If you prefer unpacking independently, we will remove blankets from the furniture, place boxes in the correct rooms, and let you take over from there.

There are two ways to calculate the cost of your move; weight and volume. In general we prefer to calculate the cost of your move based on Volume because we think it is the clearest way to provide you an accurate easy to understand move estimate. As Early as Possible! Although we are happy to accommodate last minute moves, planning begins about 3 months prior to move day. Identify your target move date, make the tough choices about what goes and what doesn’t, start calculating the number of boxes you will need and plan the transition from one household to the other. Call our Professional Estimators to discuss delivery schedules for your move. 2 Months out begin packing the items you won’t need access to before your move. 6 Weeks before your Move it is time to start collecting Estimates, 3-4 Weeks before move date choose Family Van Lines to manage your move, place a deposit and finish up with packing your boxes

No you do not! But you will need to identify a responsible party to be available on move day, we’ll put their name on the Estimate along with yours to verify your approval of the plan. If you want, open the doors and our Professional Movers will know what to do and get right to work. Or perhaps you would rather be on top of every detail and managing the Movers. That’s fine too!

When you are ready to reserve your move with Applause Moving and Storage Company a deposit is required to secure your reservation. For Local Moves the balance after the deposit is generally collected at delivery (some exceptions apply) For Long Distance Moves Applause Moving and Storage Company collects a deposit to secure your move and the remaining balance is typical split between pick up and delivery.

The deposit can be paid with Credit/Debit/Amex Card, Personal Check or Zelle too. For Local Moves we love Cash on delivery but Postal Money Order, Zelle or Wire Transfer works as well. For Long Distance Moves the Deposit can be paid as above but for Delivery our preference is Cash or Zelle. Call one of our Professional Estimators today if your have specific requirements for payment of your move.

Yes we are! $1,000,000 Liability – $2,000,000 Aggregate, $100,000 damage to residence & $100,000 Cargo. The insurance we carry is well above DOT requirements.

We prefer to calculate your move by the space your items take up in the truck. To do this walk your Professional Estimator room by room through your property and describe in general terms what you are looking to transport. Using Industry standard Move Estimating Software, your Estimator will enter your items into the computer, and an absolutely accurate estimate of the space your items take up in the truck will be the result. Easy! Add packing and additional services and your move price is set!
